What are Educational Audiology Services?

Educational Audiology services support students with hearing loss and auditory processing disorders in accessing their educational environment and curriculum. Educational audiologists assess students' hearing, evaluate the effectiveness of hearing devices and classroom amplification systems, and make recommendations to optimize students' auditory access to instruction. STS partners with Schloyer Educational Audiology Associates — led by Dr. Diedre Schloyer, a doctoral-level audiologist with over 25 years of experience in educational audiology. Schloyer Educational Audiology Associates provides comprehensive hearing and auditory processing assessments, device support, and collaboration with school teams at our San Diego clinic and in school settings. STS also provides sign language interpreting services to support DHH students in school settings.
