What is Specialized Academic Instruction?
Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) is specially designed instruction provided by a credentialed special education teacher to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. SAI addresses the academic, functional, and behavioral goals in a student's IEP — helping students access the general education curriculum and make meaningful progress toward their educational goals. Our credentialed SAI teachers bring expertise in learning disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, and other special education eligibility categories. They work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and IEP team members to create cohesive, comprehensive support for each student. STS SAI services are available in school settings across Southern California.
Every student can learn — with the right support.
