What are Behavior Services?

Behavior Services at STS provide comprehensive behavioral assessment and intervention support for students with behavioral challenges in school settings. Our behavior specialists use evidence-based approaches rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) — conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and supporting school teams in consistent implementation. We work collaboratively with IEP teams, administrators, and related service providers to create data-driven behavioral support systems. All services are aligned with IDEA requirements and delivered in coordination with the student's educational team.

THE PROCESS

What to Expect

Behavioral Assessment

A comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) conducted at the school site to identify the function and context of the student's behavior and inform IEP-aligned intervention planning.

Behavior Intervention Plan

Development of an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) with evidence-based strategies for implementation by the school team, aligned with IEP goals.

Implementation & Monitoring

Ongoing support for school teams in implementing the BIP, with data collection, progress monitoring, and IEP team consultation as needed.
