What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy (PT) is a related service provided under IDEA for students with physical disabilities that adversely affect their educational performance. STS places licensed Physical Therapists at school sites across Southern California, delivering IEP-aligned PT services in the school environment. Our PTs specialize in gross motor development, mobility, and functional participation in educational settings — supporting students with cerebral palsy, orthopedic impairments, developmental delays, and other physical disabilities. Services are provided in-person at school sites and via teletherapy.
